January 1, 2025 - End of manufacturing of R-410a units January 1, 2025 - R-410a and R454b systems and units can be sold January 1, 2026 - End of installing R-410a systems January 2, 2026 - Distributors must start selling R-454B / R-32 units* * The DOE has finalized its test procedure, providing clarity on the use of R-410A units after January 1, 2026. Will R-454B work in a R-410A / R-32 system or With a R-454B / R-32 system is a Refrigerant Detection System (RDS) required? How flammable is the A2L refrigerant? Are the A2L cylinders a new design?
